A Welcoming Message from Executive Leadership

Welcome to El Castillo Life Plan Community. Whether you are exploring our historic Alameda campus or our contemporary La Secoya property, we are honored that you are considering our community as the foundation for your next great chapter.

A Letter from Our Chief Executive Officer

Choosing where to live during your retirement years is among the most meaningful decisions you will ever make. It is not merely a question of floor plans or location; it is about finding a culture where your individuality is celebrated, your intellectual curiosity is sparked, and your health is protected for decades to come.

I am consistently inspired by the vibrant community our residents have built. Our community members are retired educators, artists, entrepreneurs, scientists, authors, and community volunteers. They have chosen El Castillo because it offers freedom: the freedom to pursue their passions without the responsibility of house maintenance, paired with the reassurance of a Type A Lifecare agreement.

The Nonprofit Accountability You Deserve

What sets El Castillo apart from so many senior living providers across the nation is our status as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We do not answer outside investment conglomerates or distant shareholders demanding quarterly profit margins.

Every dollar generated at El Castillo is reinvested directly into our mission: enhancing resident amenities, retaining top clinical and culinary professionals, preserving our historic architectural character, and building strong financial reserves. Our leadership team and volunteer Board of Directors live, work, and volunteer right here in Santa Fe.

Leadership Priorities:

Resident Centric Culture: Listening directly to resident committees and tailoring services to community preferences and wellbeing.
Clinical Safety and Quality: Maintaining rigorous healthcare accreditation, high caregiver ratios, and compassionate medical oversight.

Long Term Financial Resilience:

Ensuring stable financial stewardship to protect our Life Care guarantees and future generations of seniors.

Our Open-Door Commitment

Transparency and approachable communication are the cornerstones of our administration. Whether you have questions regarding our entrance fees, care levels, or long term strategic vision, our doors are always open to you and your family.

I warmly invite you to visit El Castillo in person, stroll around our grounds, enjoy lunch with us, and discover what makes our community so special.

Warm Regards,

The Office of the CEO
